setting up your flash card
you will need a few things to play homebrew/back-up roms on your nintendo ds. first thing is a flash card, for example an r4 or acekard. you will also need a micro sd card for putting everything onto. (these do not normally come with the flash card and need to be ordered seperatly) once you have both of these, you are nearly ready to rock n roll. next you will need something called firmware (the operating system for your card). most card manufacturers supply these on their sites, but we have another site that we highly reccomend click here to visit just select your card in the list, and download the latest version. it is always worth regularly checking back on that site to ensure there are no new firmware updates, as some newer games may not work if you are not fully up to date. once you have downloaded the firmware, extract it, then put the contents of the extracted folder onto the memory card. once you have done this, it is just simply a matter of drag and drop your .nds files onto the memory card, plug it into your flash card, and you are finished. its pretty simple, but if you do have problems, then please feel free to sign up on our gaming forum where we offer loads of support for nintendo ds users, plus a big heap of back-up downloads. click here to visit i hope that helps some of you novice users on how to get started |
